Washi tape

In 2006 a few female artists approached kamoi kakoshi (japanese masking tape brand) with a rather unusual idea . They had created a book of art with the companys masking tape that had earlier been used for industrial purposes .  These people  wanted to tour the factory . After visiting the factory they  requested the company to make colourful designer tape for artistsThe women working in the company were all for it .That is how washi tape came into being.

Washi tape is a high quality masking tape made of rice paper its the same as japanese masking tape.

It is now available in a huge variety of colours and patterns and has become a major favourite among craft lovers around the world . It is used for decoration and gift wrapping and in so many more innovative ways .Though a lot of people say that it is expensive considering that its pretty , functional , versatile and so much fun to use its actually quite reasonable .My personal view is that washi tape is amazing it can make decorating so much easier and it can turn the most boring of things to adorable objects that you love using!
